Northern Lights Photography Workshop

Take amazing photos of the Northern Lights and the Night Sky

Outline
Join award-winning photographer Alex Conu for a unique Night Sky and Northern Lights  photography workshop, in the Lofoten Islands. Doing astrophotography for 20 years, Alex is one of the most experienced sky photographers living in Norway. He is a member of TWAN – The World at Night, a program to create and exhibit a collection of stunning landscape astrophotographs and time-lapse videos of the world’s most beautiful and historic sites against a nighttime backdrop of stars, planets and celestial events.

If you don’t have any experience in night photography, no worries. The first thing we do is a tour of the constellations and we talk a bit about what can be photographed in the night sky. You will find out more about the mechanisms behind the Northern Lights and you will take outstanding photos of the Green Lady. Alex knows a lot about microclimates in Lofoten and he will make sure to take you in the best place, weather wise, to see the Aurora.

If there are no Northern Lights, Alex will teach you how to set up a star tracker and take long exposure photos of the night sky.

Alex has a degree in Astrophysics, so he’s more than qualified to take you on a photographical journey between the stars.

The workshop is available from the 1st of September to the 31st March.
